We arrived the restaurant late at 2+pm.. we did not get their beggar's herbal chicken as this needs advance order. Anyway, we had a nice lunch there.. reasonably cheap, fresh and good food there. Most of their popular dishes are priced at RM8.00 each only.

Yummy Food In Johor
My wife and I had a great day with my ex-colleagues in JB today doing shopping and of course, eating.
This is my regular breakfast joint(s) whenever I'm in Johor Bahru. 1/2 of the breakfast in Storia Cafe at corner of Jalan Storey and the 2nd half for roti canai further down the same road to Bt Chagar next to the mosque. The free curry for the roti canai is a disaster but I order their beef rendang with curry to dip a little but I usually eat their roti neat.

This is DDMT restaurant in Johor Bahru if you are in Taman Johor Jaya. Total bill for this delicious meal was only RM46 and that is less than SGD20 for a great lunch for 4 pax. Restoran How Inn at 1, Jln Dedap 6, Tmn Johor Jaya.

Total food: RM132.00
Total drinks + rice: RM16
Grand total bill: RM148.00 or about SGD62 only for live seafood dinner. We had 6 adults + 1 kid.. We enjoyed this lovely dinner.

There are 2 live Patin Fishes there at the fish tank. 1 slighter bigger and we chose that one. This is the one.

Cereal Sotong.. @RM12 for this plate. Very nice but cannot compare to the one I eat in 2nd Kitchen and Great Atlantis in Punggol Marina Club. Then again, this cost only SGD5 which is value for money. We all loved it.

27 Jan 2011 12.30pm 2 pax Lunch with my brother. Kway Chap with 3 bowls thin kway teows, 2 drinks and 1 rice total bill RM26.00 or SGD11.00 for 2 pax. This is not cheap compared to what we eat in Toa Payoh Lor 4 and AMKBlk232Ave3. Overall, it is too salty for me.

Today is a Thursday and this restaurant is in Taman Johor Jaya and when we were about to leave at 1pm, there was only 1 other table of 3 pax who just came in for their lunch. This big restaurant occupying 2 shop lots was very empty during lunch time.

Honestly, the innards are very well braised and very flavorsome and this kway chap goes very well with rice.. not kway.. hehee. coz it was just too salty for me and even my brother also said the same thing.

Nice smooth snow white ice shavings with the sugar syrup and ingredients at the bottom for you to mix and eat. RM2.50 Not bad.

Dinner. Hokkien Tai Lok Mien - very nicely fried. Except for the 'slight kee' taste and the softer texture of the mee... everything else is fine. Not bad..

Dinner. I picked this Patin fish from the tank and ordered it to be steamed Hong Kong style. No muddiness taste, extremely smooth with hardly any bones.. Wow!!... DDMT dish..

Dinner. Again, I picked this big live crab from the tank and ordered it pepper fried. The pepper is not very spicy.. just normal spiciness. The meat is exceptionally sweet and tasty. Another DDMT dish.

19 Mar 2011 1720 hrs at Kedai Makan Tao Yuan, 171 Jalan Sawah, Pekan Nanas for excellent BBQ stingray fish and otah otah dinner with 3 pax from sgcaraudio.net forum.

Shop front but the BBQ stall is on the left hand side at the rear end. This restoran is somewhat opposite Lorong B-6.

Our 1st plate of stingray - a small one (RM28 with rice = SGD12) just to 'test water'. It was excellent.

Next, we ordered 1 more otah otah. Taste of fresh fish and was absolutely delicious.

It was so good that we ordered another bigger piece of stingray. RM42 (SGD18) for this together with the big piece of delicious otah otah Total cost of seafood dinner was RM70 (SGD30)
