The one at Keong Siak is Foong Kee

http://ieatishootipost.sg/2007/03/foong-kee-wanton-mee-wanton-mee.html

Same name as the one at River Valley. Is it the corner coffee shop from where Boon Tong Kee is mien3? OK did not notice the Roast Pork the last time.

Finally got the name of the roast stall of the Taman Jurong FC from my ex colleague. It's Tien Lai at 2nd floor. Very popular in the west. I like their roast duck, char siew and pig's ears

Found a good roast meats stall near my place (Serangoon North) recently. Think the stall has been around for quite some time, it's just that I've only lately discovered it. hee.

I really like their char siew, it's the thick, juicy, not-full-of-red-food-colouring kind. For those who've tried the popular one at Ghim Moh, I think this is comparable (if not better).

I don't usually eat shao1 rou4, but according to Mong (who supplied the pics from her dinner last night, yup, she bought all 3 meats so she could take pics to share with us!) the skin's really crispy, even when she packed it to eat at home. And as for the fatty part and the meaty part, she only has 1 word for it: 'shiok'!hee.

The roast duck is also good, the skin is very xiang1 (fragant in Mandarin), the meat is tender.

The thick gravy that they put over the meats complements them well. And the chilli, I really like the chilli, it's dark-ish in colour, not your usual red chilli and has hay bee in it.

They are also generous with their portion of meat.

So go try it if you're ever in the area. But try to go in the afternoon. They usually sell out around 7+ in the evening.

Wahcow passed me some KL char siew today! Phwa lao eh, never tasted such heavenly char siew in my life! It was like 60% fat though. But gu gu jib pai never mind.

I think Fatty Cheong comes closest, but it was a holy grail experience.

okok....moooohahahaha..i went there a few times already in KL and indigo also talked about this place. 13 Jln Tingkat Tong Shin

if you walk past the place and without the queue around, you may not give it a second look..... dark, squeezy with an alumimium roof. But hey, arent these places the type we will be excited about ?.....

very pai seh....so rush for time...had to ask 2 ladies if i can take pictures of their food instead...mooohahahahaha......

look at those fats....i think ...not sure but i think instead of using the 5 flower meat that everyone else is using...they use the 3 layer belly meat !!....

open only from 11am to 130pm....2.5 hrs !!
